After eating at JCO, we decided to watch "The Host". Ayaw kasi ng boys na panuorin si Miggy and Laida. Hmmpph! The story was based from the best-selling novel of Stephenie Meyer, the author of Twilight Saga. It was indeed a sci-fi film that revolves around surviving the other world and complicated love stories. Yung lead actress dito was also the girl in Lovely Bones. We were seated in Lazy Boy again and eating pizza. The story came in a very unexpected plot.
Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed. Wanderer "the invading soul" who had Melanie's body knew about the challenges of living inside a human's body. The overwhelming emotions, vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer do not expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind. Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves- Jared, a human who still live in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer years for a man she's never met. As outside forces makes Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love (synopsis from Google). This was a very difficult lovestory but had a successful end. Meyer is indeed brilliant. No wonder she's earning millions of dollars because or her talent. Well, I definitely enjoyed watching the movie. :)
