We had an awesome night yesterday. After chilling out at home, we decided to spent our dinner time by having a sort of pizza party. I am craving for pizza yesterday and my Bro decided to go to Shakey's. He bought two boxes of pizza, Hawaiian Delight and Special Shakey's Classic plus some garlic bread. We had a great time. At least, my weekend ended happily. I've got my family and everything seems okay all the time. Family time is the best time. Thank you GOD.

Nail Polish of the Week: "Oh-Range" (Week 2)

I bought this nail polish but the name on the bottle has been worn out already so I wasn't able to get the color name of the nail polish. But since it resembles the orange color I named it as "Oh-Range". It looks golden orange. I guess it fits my fingers 60%, not so confident about it but I'd still love the color. :)

Item of the Week: "Powder Holder" (Week 2)

Ever wonder what's one of the things that you have right now have a significant importance to you? Well, I am talking about material things here. Whether it was a crucifix given by your Lolo, an earring from your Lola or even the bridal gown wore by your Mom when she marry your Dad. For me, it was my powder holder. I am not even sure if that was how you call it cause I don't really have an idea. I am 26 years old now. I have my powder holder since when I was a baby. Imagine having it until now is already something I can be proud of. We moved houses and still have it. When my brother was born, he used the same powder holder. My Mom is good when it comes to keeping things and taking care of it. I can't believe that this powder holder symbolizes the day I was born and who I am right now. Sounds crazy but it's true. Maybe if I am going to have my own baby this will be the same powder holder I am going to use. Sometimes we don't pay attention to small things not knowing those things really matters a lot. I don't really pay attention to it cause I only treat it as one of the usual things I see everyday in my room but if you'll think deeper, this has been with us for almost one generation already. Touching. :)

Gorgeous Vamp!

I watched the news last week and was so surprised about the rumors saying that the lead star of Vampire Diaries who played the role of Damon Salvatorre will be visiting the Philippines. And the next day, it was confirmed cause he already arrived and flew to El Nido Palawan. He was the new endorser of Penshoppe, one of the leading clothing line in the Philippines. I blogged this because last month I was staring at Zac Efron's billboard along Edsa which happens to be one of Penshoppe's endorser as well and I was thinking if that I will feel more "kilig" seeing Ian on the same billboard. Then he came here. He looks gorgeous and his fierce eyes is so beautiful. I always watch Vampire Diaries. Nina Dobrev is too lucky to have him. I just found out he was not just an actor but also UN Ambassador for Environment. Very inspiring. Too bad I don't see him in person. :)

Nail Polish of The Week: "Atlantis" (Week 1)

I've been obsessed with different nail polish for the previous months until now. I've tried different colors and have it changed every week. Since this has been part of my routine I decided to do it consistently every week. For now, I am into plain colors. I've tried neon, dark and nude colors and was so excited and happy about it. Today, I chose to put the "Atlantis" color. Yeah, Atlantis cause that was the color description when I bought it. It looks trendy and very attractive. I don't know if it fits well in my hand. But I can have this nail polish in my hand for a week and see what others might say when they see it. Hope I receive good feed backs. We'll see.

Item Of The Week: "Meds" (Week 1)

I've been sick since last week. It started when I can't speak and eat well because of my sore throat. I took some medicines and suddenly stop taking it when I felt like I was already okay. But then I got fever and flu. I learned my lesson in the hard way to always listen on what the doctor says. I was absent for two days. If I just continue what the doctor says I should be feeling better as of this day. I still have cough and much worst had an asthma attack yesterday. So next time, always follow what the doctor prescribed and do not abuse your body in ways like neglecting taking the right medicines and not taking enough sleep. Health is wealth. That is true. :)

Nails and Item of the Week!

I was browsing through Zooey Deschanel's blog which is hellogiggles and was caught by this post. It has something to do with posting an item which you think had big contribution on your day or makes you feel unique or anything under the sun then putting a caption on it. Nothing in particular. It can be a garbage can, messy closets or even plates and glasses in the sink. I find it interesting so I decided to come up with my own version. I am going to start it today. Not only that, she also have a portion of the page indicating nails of the day. I can't afford to change my nail polish every day so I am going to have it change to my own style of nail polish for the week since I always changing my nail polish almost every week. I'll start the same thing also today. I hope I can keep up with it. I'll try my best. So as how it goes I am also going to post my "Item of the Week" and "Nail Polish of the Week". Cool!:)

Twitter is the best place for you to express your opinions and share your best interests, feelings and emotions. My twitter name is april_manalili. I use Twitter to inform other people my location, what I am doing and how my day goes by. I made 2,325 tweets already. I followed a lot of celebrities that I idolized. I tweeted a lot of them and never receive any single response not until today. One of the celebrity that I follow is Gino dela Pena. He was first seen in the McDonald's commercial. Before I join DareDuo, he was my second choice next to Matteo Guidicelli. He also joined Survivor Celebrity Edition and became one of the castaway. He is a Christian and had a very simple personality. Today, he tweeted that he will be going out with his Mom and sister and I sent a reply to that. Unexpectedly, he made a response. A smiling face. I was so "kilig". First ever tweet from a celebrity. I just want to share. Happy!:)

My Bro's First Day at Work:)

Today is my brother's first day at work. After how many months of looking for a job, his hard work has been paid off. He was hired by Nature's Spring yesterday after passing the dreaded exam and interviews. Thanks also to our lovely neighborhood for the referral. I know it is hard for him to work now cause he haven't finish his studies yet but I fully trusts him that he understands that he needs to work now for our family. Then once he have enough savings then he can go back to school. Just one more year and he'll be getting his diploma. It's difficult in our part but we need to face reality that sometimes you need to do first what is best for your family. Life can be tough but as long as you're holding on to it then things will be better in the end. My brother at an early age needs to stretched his arms for him to understand the real meaning of life. As a family, we will support him all the way. I can be harsh to him most of the time but I am doing it for him to know the meaning of life and it always have a purpose. He have to know that in order for him to achieve his dreams, he needs to work hard on it. You can't get those things for free. It requires a lot of effort. I know he can do this. I trusted him a lot in this matter, after all, he is on his way on being a grown up person. Years from now he will have his own family and this experience will teach him how to be a good father to his children. We appreciate him accepting this hard decision and we love him for that. And most of all, my parents is very much proud of him. We love you Bro!:)

Today, we are celebrating Mother's Day. This is a tribute to all the loving Mom out there who never get tired taking care and understanding us. I love my Mom more than anything else in this world. I won't be here because of her. She is my bestfriend, the best Mom ever. I owe everything to her. I thanked you Mom for you neverending patience and love to us. Papa, John-del and I will always be here for you. We love you very much :) Happy Mother's Day!:)

Watch Up??

Last Thursday, I didn't control again myself. I bought a watch from Tomato. My officemate told me there's a Tomato booth on the 4th floor so I went up there and saw those beautiful watches. I bought one but it is 50% discounted. At least I got it in a cheaper price. My Dad liked it. He even wore it. :)

Sometimes you need an inspiration for you to feel happy at work. Yeah, I have a lot of friends there but you need that someone that will make you feel "kilig" or smile giving you more reason to go to work. It's a natural feeling when you have those butterflies in the stomach and you feel so conscious whenever that person passed by. Just recently, "E" and I had good moments. I know he doesn't care about it but I did. I even blogged about it before cause I don't want to forget it. I am that type of person who always keep good memories by writing  or blogging about it. It was a sudden decision that he decided to leave the company cause he told me he is no longer happy. I understand him. I even feel the same thing but I need this job. I've say it a lot of times already in my previous blog. When we talked before, he mentioned of leaving the company but I never thought it'll be that early. I see myself in him. Sometimes I wonder we can be good friends if we were just given more time. Yeah, friends cause he already had girlfriend. I noticed this past few days I am not seeing him in the office. Last Monday, I saw him at the pantry and we got the chance to talk. I never thought it's the last time I'll be seeing and talking to him.  He made an immediate resignation. His parents found out what happened to him in Binondo where some strangers punched him in the head last month. I was like the second person he talked to about what happened. I feel privileged about it knowing that he trusted me the very first time we talked. We always see each other at work but not last month that we get a bit close to each other. When I saw him at the pantry, I felt very excited that I want to hug him. Seeing him again gave me hope that he changed his mind and that he will stay but his decision is final. He went there to make a follow up on his resignation. For fifteen minutes, we talked. I was just staring at him because I am going to miss his Chris Tiu face. I can now admit that I had a crush on him. He makes me smile whenever I see him. Teeny bopper moment, wow! I hope I can still see him. Somewhere. Sometime. Or even soon. :(

The Gift

The Bible and the Purity Ring. These were two of the best and most memorable gifts I received in my entire life. The definition of gift for me is showing how you care for that person and knowing they were special to you. It is also a way of thanking them for being part of your life. I am not good in giving gifts. I am not good as well in making choices what gift I want to give. I am not even good in choosing the perfect gift wrapper. Yeah, it sucks. I am glad I have friends that is very creative and talented when it comes to this matter. I will not forget my birthday last year 2008. Super memorable. I received one of the best gift from Akileo, one of my closest friend in Sykes. He gave me the "purity ring" which symbolizes chastity and reminds me to always follow God's principle which is marriage before sex. Wearing a purity ring is typically accompanied by a religious vow to practice abstinence until marriage. When Leo gave it to me, he even have the Bible verses 1Corinthians13 4-7 engraved on the ring. That is the exact verses that Mandy Moore and Shane West had on the A Walk to Remember movie while they're getting married. I always wear it and always have it on my left hand right exactly on the finger where the wedding ring is being placed during the wedding ceremony. I am holding on to this for five years already. And I will hold on to this till I get married. A lot of celebrities wear the same thing. The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Nikki Gil. The second best gift I received just last year is the Bible given to me by my roommate Jan. We have been friends for a long time already and I owe her so much. Her faith in God is incredible. She gave me her Bible when I decided to go back in my hometown and spend time with family. We have been roommates for over four years and shared a lot of ups and downs. I am proud of her because of her dedication when it comes to Christian living and how she loves God so much. I am starting to read the Bible now because of her. Those gifts means so much in my life now. And I am going to keep it forever. :)

Our First Teamwork

My brother and I always fight for nonsense reasons. It became a habit already that our day is not complete without arguing for something, most of the time just because of the remote control. He wants to watch PBA and I want to watch New Girl. Well, we both have opposite interests. But it was just natural. After how many minutes, were okay. We are just both crazy. I remembered last year there is one moment that we decided to be good. I printed out some of my pictures and sometimes I am a messy person so I just placed it anywhere in the house. My bro decided to post those pictures in the door of my closet. We helped each other. I made the captions and he cut out some papers for sort of a background. And when we are done, it looks like an Instagram. Very touching cause those pictures means a lot to me. :) Thanks bro. :)

Last Sunday I had one of the best summer treat of my life. Finally, our family bonding came true. Well, we always go  out and stroll around but this one's different since this was our first swimming bonding for how many years of my existence. Exaggerated but true. We have been planning this for a week and was re-scheduled due to a lot of circumstances but last Sunday it did pushed through. I am happy. My family are all homebody type of person. It's very rare that we go for a swim. I have my Lolo and Lola come with us. I want them to enjoy as well. Of, course the ever-loving daughter of my cousin Bryan also came with us. Euna is a stand-out that day. Ate Alex and Riyou was present as well. I love family bonding cause it makes you feel closer to each other. The feeling is so incredible that day. True happiness really comes from the people that you love. And in that moment, I felt very contented that I can't ask for more. I am blessed because GOD gave me a wonderful and caring family. I love them so much. And since this is our first time for a swimmng bonding I'll post some of our pictures here. Thanks to my B-by Channing for capturing the good moments. :)
