What's The Meaning of My Name?

Thanks to Facebook that they have this application wherein you can find the meaning of your name. I tried it and guess what I got. I don't really like to compete, it's just that I always give my best in everything I do. Well, it's okay. Winning for me is not about getting material things such as certificates and medals, it is more of feeling contented in the outcome of something you did where you put your effort and time. I am not really a fan of any competition I just love the challenge and how I surpass it. I am shy most of the time, sometimes I fake my confidence. I think it is the people around me that makes me do even the impossible things. When you're use to pressure and stress, things go easily as you never expect it. I am only human. I panic in face of challenges. You just need to know how to overcome it. And I can say, I'm still learning.

People of my Year 2011

I thought of checking Bianca Gonzales blog and I saw her lists of people that inspired and made a big difference on her life for year 2011. So I kinda decided to do the same thing. And here's my own version of the people that played a big part last year.

Mama and Papa

Two people I love the most in the world, my Mom and Dad. I don't know how to thank them for all the good things they've done to me from my childhood days up to now. Their love is so pure. They were always there for me. I really love them so much and I owe everything to them. No words can describe my Mom and Dad. I am thankful to GOD for giving me such wonderful parents that I'll treasure forever. I love you Mama and Papa. :)

January Aubrey Ellenor Roxas

Jan has been my roommate for three years and we both had the same company before. We knew each other for so long and we shared a lot of good things together. She's one of the person who helped me draw myself closer to GOD. She's a good cook. She always spares me some food after her culinary session. We maybe have different interests and point of views sometimes but we managed to enjoy life to the fullest. I love her 9 year old son Niyel. I am very proud of her being a responsible single Mom. I just miss those days hanging out together cause I am back in my parent's home but we still manage to communicate through phone.

Tatay Brad, Te Rosie, Uncle Ding, Aldrin, Karlo, Juju and GJ

They were my real friends from the very beginning. Well, most of the time I was the only girl of the group but they never treat me differently. Sometimes you will think it is very awkward to go out with group of boys but whenever I'm around them, it feels like things are always good and fun. Imagining yourself hanging out with them, watching movies or just having a small talk, you'll learn a lot of things from the male species. We had been together almost everyday discussing about what our future will be. Cool! Having such conversation with guys is really amazing. I haven't seen them for a while but once we hit the road again it'll be a blast!

Diana Cosiangco

Dee has been one of my closest friend at work since I transferred company. I thought in the beginning we can't be friends cause she's a little bit "mataray" but in the end I agreed to the fact that opposite attracts. In the end, we became friends and I used to sleepover in their house and she will cook her favorite "sinigang". She got strong personality and she hates bitches. She taught me that life is not about pleasing people but showing them who you really are.

Johndel Manalili

Life is so boring without my little brother. I admit we used to fight most of the time because he loves basketball while I am hooked with ETC but what I love having him was knowing that someone will protect you anytime. My brother is just quiet most of the time but when you get to know him, his been one of the coolest guy I've ever known. Let's not talk about his messy room. Because of him I learned how to buy guy's things from shirts to shoes and pants cause now I used to buy him those stuff. Shoes size 10, waist size 33 and shirt medium. Whoa! Thanks bro for the never-ending patience whenever I'm lack of sleep and I always shout at you. :)

Tita Carmelita, Yuuki, Yoshiki and Family

They were my favorite relatives. Through tough moments they were always there for my family especially for my Mama. They never failed to help us every time we needed them. I love this family they were all sincere people. Whenever we feel sad we just crash to their house and hearing laughters from Yuuki, Caloy, Rai-rai, Yoshiki and the rest of the kids makes us realize that everything's going to be okay. Tita Carmelita is the best Aunt. I am thankful she's really like my mother. Very responsible, generous with a big heart. No wonder her family loves her so much same thing with Tito Manoling. A power couple who deserve all the happiness and love in the world. I am very blessed that we have them and I am proud that they raised their kids well.

Glemar Andal

I miss you Glemar so much. He passed away last year due an illness. It shocked everyone because I never thought he is going through a tough time battling with a certain illness that cause his sudden death. I never expect it and until now it is to hard for me to accept that he is no longer with us and I can't see him anymore. Glemar has always been my sweetest friend. He always pray for me and my family. He taught me that life has better things to offer if you put GOD in everything. I will never ever forget him. He is a dear friend. I know he is happy now because he fulfilled his mission here and he is with GOD right now. Rest in peace my loving Glemar. Thank you for everything.

Gianmatteo Fernan Guidicelli

I still can't get over with the moments I had with Matteo last year 2010. One of the most memorable days of my life. Thanks Dare Duo. I can say he's still part of my year 2011 since I felt inspired because of him. Not romantically. Yeah I know he is cute and charming but I am proud of everything that he succeeded last year. The album, new tv series and movies, he deserved all of that. Yes, I am a fan of him. Matteo is a very hardworking person. When I was given the chance to talk and spend time with him, he was very cool, family-oriented and a loving brother. He knows his priorities and he loves his profession. I told him before I want to be like him and he said I just need to work hard and have faith. Thanks Matteo for setting a good example for everyone. I am sure you'll be bigtime in your craft.

Victory Ortigas

This has been my foundation of faith and love with GOD. I am so happy that someone introduce me to Victory because until now it molds me to become a good disciple of Christ. It deepens my belief with GOD and it helps me understand my purpose of existence. I am a Catholic. But Victory do not discriminate people. Victory establishes good relationship with GOD. I used to attend their service every Thursday and Friday. I enjoyed it a lot especially seeing young people getting so acquainted knowing GOD. I even teach kids every Sunday. During my hopeless days, they enlightened me. They make me realize that GOD is always there for us no matter what. I thanked Victory for touching lives of people especially the young generation. This is what we needed now.

Ralph Leo Macapawa

Leo and I had been friends for a long time . We both work in Sykes and we had a beautiful friendship. Although we do not see each other often he always call me to give me updates about what's going on with his life. We had a lot of crazy moments together and we share the same interests. We used to tease each other and we love talking about anything. From cute guys, to new movies, clothes, showbiz and foods. We are very close. I love his Justin Bieber hair cut last time we met. Peace out Leo! I miss him like the rest of my friends. I will never forget our mini-adventure in Lucban where we attended the Pahiyas festival. Dude, that was amazing! :)

Here they are folks! Hope you can come up with your lists as well. It doesn't matter who they are as long as they help you make a difference in your life. Thanks to them because I am an improved person now :)

Sophia Bush - A Role Model

I've been addicted to One Tree Hill since last year because of the story and the characters. I always sleep late at night just to simply finish each episode. It is not just a tv series but it merely changed the lives of the teenagers who was able to watch it. It was first aired year 2003 but I just watched the complete season from the very beginning till season 8 last year. Too bad I miss Lucas Scott during my teeny days. The soundtrack is also good especially if it was Haley's making the music. I am a Haley James Scott fan when it comes to OTH because of the personality she portrayed cause I felt I was like her with the exception of having Nathan cause I haven't found yet my very own version of Nathan Scott, haha! But in real life, I adore Brooke Davis. Well, Sophia Bush should I say. She's a fundraiser, role model and always achieve greatness towards other people's lives. She's an inspiration for everyone because of her actions and neverending courage to help the needy people whether they were based in the US or not. She spends most her time doing voluntary works for the benefits of little kids who are homeless and those suffering from certain illness. Today, she joined the Mozilla Firefox fundraising contest together with the other celebrities for campaign to fight cancer. I love what her doing and I also want to help other people. Sophia is more than just a pretty face and a good actress. I know I haven't seen her personally but I fairly believe she have a big heart and very kind. I used to send tweets for her and I am hoping she was able to read it. It is good to hear how eager she is to look for funds to donate especially for the cancer patients. I once read a tweet from her also asking donations for the typhoon Sendong's victims. I am Filipino and reading a tweet from someone like her is so touching. Overwhelming that someone like her is always there to lend a helping hand. I salute BDavis for that.

Here's some of the prices they can get once they help Sophia to raise funds:

Accusations.

This was the very first time I was accused of something I never did nor even think of doing. I haven't check my fb for a long time and yesterday I was surprised to receive a message from someone. I was excited to read it but then it just saddened me. The content of the message is false with hurtful words that almost affected my family. How can someone be so unfair? How can someone be so judgmental? It ain't bad to ask a question before concluding things because you can't bring back everything after a wrong move. It might totally ruin the trust and respect. And I guess, that's what happened. Why can't accept the fact that someone's already happy because of her choices and never had any regrets out of it. In fact, a blessing was about to be born, new life and a new beginning. Why someone be so narrow-minded and face the difference between reality compared to a lame story? I was hurt. I am disappointed. I am happy that I was raised by my parents in a good way that they never teach me to pre-judge someone just by merely on what they've heard cause what's important is what's inside the heart. Why there are still people whose so much contented in ruining another people's life. Can't they just keep quiet and mind their own life. I was judged, unfairly. But it doesn't matter anymore because at the end of the day what important is your family and the people who never stop believing in you. This thing will not let me down, I am a brave soul. Whatever they say about me will just be their opinion because there's more to me than meets the eye. And for those people, I wish nothing but best in their life that they may found real happiness in good things and not in accusing people for nonsense issue. Life is short so let's spend it wisely. And finally, I read a quote from AJ Perez twitter that fits with everything that's happening now, I'll take character over reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

2012-"Finding Myself, What I want and What is Best for my Family"

Second day of year 2012. Well supposedly everyone should be making their own New Year's Resolution but I bet I'll pass this year. It is not because I can't stick to my lists of promises but I want everything done through actions rather than writing it down. Last New Year's eve, I was thinking what lies ahead for me for this year but one thing I figured out, I am responsible for whom I will be for this year. The decisions I am going to make, the path I am going to choose, the friends I will trust and the plans I am going to follow. It all depends on-ME. Whether I will be good or not, it is indeed up to me. Every year we always tell that we will make changes and that we learned from our past mistakes and so this year I am going to try my best to do that. The first step I need to do is to figure what I really want. I've been struggling the past few days asking myself what makes me feel happy, what profession I really want to pursue, should I leave the job I have now, do I need to go abroad to find another one or just settled here? Those questions still left unanswered. Yes I want changes but I don't know how to start and where to start it. One word to describe me now-lost and confused. Not a good time to start the year but I don't want to let those questions just keep on hanging. I am willing to take a risk. I am not afraid to try new things and be good at it. After all I'm an Arian and we are all born to be brave and courageous. What I only need now is some time and a little bit of mind setting and a piece of advice from my loved ones and I am sure I'll go through this. For the meantime, since it is year 2012, I am going to start my year with positivity and a lot of good perception towards everything. I have plans. So many plans that I want to accomplish and I'll do that step by step. There's no reason to rush. I'll take things slow. I know God will guide me every step of the way so there's nothing I should be scared of. I'll take every chances and work hard on it. I will be a better person this year 2012. I will have the job the I want and be contented with that. I will keep a good lifestyle. I am going to save a lot. I mean, save, save, save. I will do everything for my family. I'll keep in touch with my old friends. I'll love God everyday and thank you God for another year.
